What does it take to get the best out of your people that you lead to build high performing, connected and committed teams that are working together effectively towards the common
and shared direction and making a bigger impact and adding more value. What does it take to be that kind of that is not only doing that, but also is happy, fulfilled content inside? If you are curious to find out the answer, then this is the episode for you. But before we start, I would love to ask you for a favor. If you've been following this podcast for a while or maybe
This is just your first episode and you like it. It brings you value, it brings you inspiration. I would love you to subscribe to the channel because first of all, you are going to be informed about next time that this episode goes live. And secondly, it will help to reach more leaders. I would love to hear in comments, what are you getting from those episodes? It resonates with you. So I'm very, very grateful for you to taking this two steps, subscribing and commenting.
Now, going back to this episode, for some time when I was living in a corporate world where I spent 15 years, I've been looking up outside towards leaders, other leaders that were more successful, impactful than me, reading many books. I was visiting masterclasses webinars. I was listening to podcasts. I was looking outside to help me to identify what kind of leader do I want to be and how I can lead more effectively.
And it was very valuable because it brought me a lot of ideas and insights and inspiration because many of those people are really inspiring me. And at the same time, I must really say that it's only until I started really to embark on this journey from within, which started with the first coaching experiences 10 years ago, this really has
Dagmara Asbreuk (02:26.795)
resulted in me evolving to more effective impactful leader, more bolder, more empathic, more capable of empowering others and building better teams. And it's only when I also started to integrate or embrace coaching mindset and skills that I started to really see differences into how I lead, how I show up, how I communicate, how I empower, how I delegate, how I build trust.
and how I develop people and teams. So I know personally, the greater impact that these two components, the inner work and the coaching minds and skills, embracing that and leading has played into my leadership. But it's exactly the same what I'm seeing through the lens of my clients today that I work with, executives and senior leaders from mid-size and large corporations that I accompany through the
and guide through the journey of body, extraordinary leadership, which ultimately encompassed these two important building blocks of extraordinary leadership. And when I look into challenges that leaders come with work with me, I can see that there is a need for bringing those two key leadership success factors into more leaders and more organizations. And this is why I'm so
passionate and dedicated into bringing embodiment of extraordinary leadership to more organizations and leaders. Challenges of disengagement, talent attraction retention, the ability to unleash human potential in our organization, ability to build teams, but also the statistics studying us very high ratio of mental health issues and burnout and this whole aspect of well-being on a personal and organizational level. And I'm truly believe that those challenges that
hard business performance and innovation can be solved, can be improved by those two things, by the inner work and by embracing coaching in leadership. That's something definitely to look out into and to start to choose those programs, choose those journeys that can actually help you with those two. Because those two areas.
Dagmara Asbreuk (04:52.671)
actually essentially are going to make you not only be more successful, impactful as a leader, but also will help you to be more fulfilled, to be more happy, to reduce stress and overwhelm and to be more calm and grounded and more positive. And this is also what will help you to feel ready in your best state, aligned best state. And frankly, no amount of books and masterclasses and
strategies of others and mentorship will be able to replace that two critical factors of your success impact and effectiveness and fulfillment and wellbeing as a leader. What is this inner work all about? And you know, what does it mean coaching mindset and skill set that still might be a buzzword for you? So let me unpack these two areas. So what is this whole inner work all about? Well, firstly, it's
about understanding yourself on a much deeper level. And what I mean by that is understanding what are your current patterns that shows up in patterns of thoughts, patterns of behaviors, patterns of emotions, patterns of reactions, patterns of situations that repeatedly shows up in your leadership, in your life. Those patterns are currently
most likely playing on a subconscious level, deeply rooted in your identity and subconscious. And those patterns are deeply anchored in core limiting beliefs that are making part of your current identity that has evolved from the past. The beliefs drive your thoughts and emotions and it drives your behaviors and actions and results. So if you want to change something, if you want to evolve to
a better version of yourself. You want to be more impactful, more inspiring, more empathic, more courageous. You need to start there. You need to start to understand which of the subconscious patterns you're currently running that is standing in the way of being that leader that you're meant to be. And there are many ways of how you can do it. You can start observing those patterns of thoughts and emotions that are a core of your being.
Dagmara Asbreuk (07:11.769)
Or you can join programs that allow you to do it more effectively, like a body external leadership, where I personally love to bring the mental fitness from positive intelligence to help leaders identify those patterns and break through those patterns in a most effective and efficient and I would say fastest way that I have seen so far from many different resources I have. What I love about the framework is that it gives you a
tangibility of what those type of patterns might be. There are 10 of different variations. can be a pattern of hyperachiever, of avoider, of pleaser, of stickler, or pattern of judge. They are all different patterns. have its unique pattern of thoughts, emotions, responses, reactions, break through those patterns and evolve to the next level of you you like. To that version of you that is more impactful, more successful, more fulfilled and happy.
that is proven to be a real game changer for many of my clients and for myself as well. And this is really the starting point of this inner work and what I like also to call transforming from within because in order to rise, in order to make a bigger impact, we need first to unblock what is holding aspect. And one of the common patterns that I see by leaders is so-called hyperachiever pattern or hyperachiever driven by a hyperachiever saboteur.
Which on one side is very present in high achievers because the strength of it is the drive, is the self-motivation, is the high energy and stamina that those type of leaders bring. However, the way the pattern is limiting many leaders is keeping them in dissatisfaction and setting very, very high expectations to themselves and towards other people. And ultimately also never feeling satisfied, never feeling enough.
never feeling fulfilled and actually feeling very empty inside and developing many workaholic tendencies and having a difficulty to connect and build strong relationships. And this of course is not effective when you are a leader and it also affects your personal wellbeing. And I speak here also from my own experiences, I had that pattern of a high strong pattern of hyperachiever and I know exactly this.
Dagmara Asbreuk (09:37.003)
costs as well on a personal being, but also in leadership effectiveness. And I can tell you that by knowing that no more and being much more capable on catching that patterns at the very earliest on, I can much better manage myself and lead myself and of course my business and better serve as a coach as well. So where to start this inner journey is to understanding your patterns deeply anchored in your subconscious mind and body.
obviously rewiring those different patterns that are currently holding you back from being more impactful, more successful and more happy and fulfilled leader. So that's kind of a first fundamental and very, very profound part of inner work. Now, the second part of that inner work is when after rewiring and liberating yourself from what holds you back, you start to discover and connect with your
true, authentic, fuller self. I like to call it also higher self. And that part of you is much more empowered, much more bold, much more creative, much more intuitive, much more innovative, but also much more compassionate and empathic, much more joyful and grounded and trusting and deeply and wiser. That's the version of you.
that you truly in a deep, deep down in a heart would love to be more of. I call that version also extraordinary leader because essentially in order to make that extraordinary impact, unlock exponential growth and empower people, drive performance, be happy fulfilled, you will need to step into that true expression of yourself, that more empowered version of yourself, that higher self.
that you have within yourself. And so you can only imagine how much you can actually create and how much more impactful, successful, happy, fulfilled you can be when you are leading from that place. Just magic happens. One of my clients who, you know, I've had the pleasure to guide through this journey of stepping into his full expression of self and, you know, a leader, C-level leader who has gone through many different development programs, even coaching, he's never experienced this profound connection.
Dagmara Asbreuk (12:02.943)
with his, he called it inner self and it brought him to exponential growth personally and professionally and to making a bigger impact in the organization to gain a cross-functional influence, to be more visible, to be more respected, to be more noticed and to be more visible, to bring the organization from operation to strategic with more ease, to really rise the capability and shift the mindset in this organization and really
set a new standard. And my very first encounter of that part of myself was, I think five years ago when I was starting to seek for more meaning and fulfillment in my life and starting to ask myself the questions, I want to continue the path of a career in procurement or do something else. And this is where I discovered my values, my bigger purpose, and ultimately shifted to start external leadership to be more aligned.
with the vision that I hold for myself and the values that I hold for myself. But in the last three years, I have much more deeper connection with that part of myself because I discovered this way beyond just values. It's actually an essence. It's actually an identity. And when we are able to tap to that energy, to that essence, to that being of that higher self, true full self, authentic self, whichever you choose to call it,
This is where magic starts to happen and this is where you are more attracting certain opportunities in your business, more clients that aligns with you. This is where you access ease and flow and more synchronization into your lives. You start also to radiate a different energy. And this is not just a mind process where you are creating your vision and defining the actions that you need to take. No, it's a process of embodiment, of embodiment of that version of yourself.
that version that is calling you in that version of yourself on a mind, on a body level, on energy level, on a multi-dimensional level. And it's a process and it's a process that ultimately I accompany leaders in embodiment of external leadership with. It's a multi-dimensional process of stepping really into that identity, that full identity of self. It's making a huge difference in how successful, impactful and happy you are.
Dagmara Asbreuk (14:24.545)
And it helps you to lead a positive change in your organization much easier. And that is actually what is the part of the inner work, transforming from the end, stepping into the bigger version of yourself. And the third is about embracing coaching mindset and abilities and skills. Embracing coaching has been a game changer for my leadership and impact. This is where I understood that the greatest leaders are coaches. And this is where I was so fascinated to bring that approach into my leadership that
really focused and centered into unleashing potential of others, into helping others to grow, helping others to succeed, helping others and the teams to get to the next level. Coaching is not only about asking powerful questions. It's far beyond that. It's about the mindset. It's starting with knowing that you are a catalyst of change, shifting in your mindset first that you are not an expert, you are a partner in this journey.
empower and help others to be successful. Only from there, from that strong beliefs, you can start also nurture and develop different sets of abilities and skills in coaching, which are around powerful questions, around creating safe space, around presence, mastering your emotions and tapping also to your intuition. The more you master coaching as a leader, the more intuitive you are in this process as well. If you haven't yet,
developed that capability, I would strongly invite you to look into possibilities to develop coaching mindset and abilities. I am extremely passionate about bringing that to leaders and that is why this is a third element in the embodiment of external leadership journey, because I truly know from my experiences and also seen how much it transformed the way I could enable others to be more successful and grow. And this is also what unlocks the potential, the
innovation, the growth into your organization. And that's the third element of what really differentiates ordinary from extraordinary leaders and how you can become more impactful, successful and fulfilled leaders. It's about finding out and understanding what are those patterns that you are running on that are holding you today back that are really deeply, deeply in your subconscious and identity.
Dagmara Asbreuk (16:49.357)
Two is about evolving on the deeper level, on a multidimensional and identity level to that fuller, authentic version of yourself that is more empowered, more bold, but also more compassionate and making better impacts, fostering connection and collaboration, engagement and building highly performing teams. And it is about embracing coaching mindset and skills in your leadership so that you can really unlock
exponential growth within your team and organization and help the others be more successful and steer, help others to be more successful as well. So wrapping up this episode, I'm curious to hear where you are on this journey, which of these three key ingredients, success factors, if you like, of being more successful, impactful, and fulfilled that you have been able already to embrace?
I'm curious to hear and happy to share in the comments which of these three elements actually you feel you need to grow into, expand, embrace. And if you would like to unlock this exponential growth within yourself and with your organization, drive a positive change and be more fulfilled, then I want to invite you to step in to the next cohort of a body extraordinary leadership.
that incorporates all these three core elements that are going to transform your leadership, your organization, but also your life. And so if you really are one of those extraordinary leaders that aim for greatness, this is a place for you.
